Something broke?

Report a bug

Every report lands in front of the people who fix it, with exactly the detail we need to reproduce it. Versions and a screenshot turn a "sometimes it does not work" into a fix in the next release.

Missing something rather than broken? Ask for it instead — feature requests have their own form.

About your SofaNode

Ten seconds of this saves a week of guessing. Skip anything you do not know.

Its setup Wi-Fi is named SofaNode-XXXX — those four characters are the end of the MAC, and that is enough. sofacode paired list on the computer prints the whole one.

Run sofacode status in a terminal on the machine the node talks to; if the node never connects, sofacode doctor is the one that explains why. Both are safe to paste — neither prints your pairing token.

Step by step, from a state we can get into ourselves.

A photo of the SofaNode's screen counts — phone camera is fine.

The daemon keeps its log at ~/.local/state/sofacode/daemon.log (%LOCALAPPDATA%\sofacode\daemon.log on Windows).

Reports and anything you attach are stored privately and read by the SofaCode team only — see the privacy notice. Please keep secrets (tokens, pairing codes, passwords) out of screenshots and logs.

Not broken, just missing? Request a feature — same inbox, different questions. Fixes and new features are both named in the changelog (the SofaNode has its own).
